* Fight energy is required to enter a battle and each cyber-yakuza NFT owned has a limited number of fights per day. By owning multiple cyber-yakuza NFTs, the player increases the daily energy they have and can participate in more battles!

SAYA Everyone enjoys a drink at Saya's, a barmaid in a gambling house under the control of the cyber-yakuza. The confessions flow freely, and this knowledge allows her to counsel the family in times of crisis. She wields considerable influence, her body enhanced with implants right down to her fingertips.

## HOW IT WORKS

The cyber-yakuza has a chance to racket "rob boxes" during his daily outdoor street missions. <mark style="color:red;">**Rob boxes contain items (NFTs) tattoos (NFTs) or OYAB.**</mark> However, he will not have the opportunity to find rob boxes during all of his walks.

A maximum of 3 rob boxes can be held at a time, and a countdown timer indicates when they can be opened. Burn OYAB in-game currency to speed up the countdown or open the box immediately. Each level of box has a different timer and cost.

### 1. Chances of obtaining a rob box

The likelihood of discovering a rob box during a street mission is influenced by various factors:

* The <mark style="color:green;">**RARITY**</mark> of your cyber-yakuza (+)
* The <mark style="color:green;">**LEVEL**</mark> of your cyber-yakuza (++)
* The <mark style="color:green;">**LUCK**</mark> points of your cyber-yakuza (++)
* The number of <mark style="color:green;">**ENERGY**</mark> spent at once (+++)

Note that it's always advantageous to spend all of your available walk energy in a single session, regardless of whether you have 2 or 16 energies. A split run results in a reduction of the overall drop rate (Items and tattoos) and a lower quality of the content obtained.

## FIGHT STRATEGY

## FIGHT ENERGY

After each battle, it is essential to <mark style="color:red;">**manually restore the cyber-yakuza's fight energy**</mark> bar by spending in-game tokens. There is a limit on the number of battles a cyber-yakuza can participate in each day, so owning multiple cyber-yakuza allows you to engage in more battles.

## PENALTY IF YOU DON'T FIGHT

To maintain your cyber-yakuza's optimal fighting form, it is important to <mark style="color:red;">**engage in at least one battle per day per cyber-yakuza**</mark>. Neglecting to do so will result in a penalty to the walk energy regeneration, as outlined in the "Street Missions" section.

## FIGHT EARNINGS

The Path to Power in Neo Tokyo

Roaming outdoors is part of the cyber-yakuza life, whether it is to watch over their territory or to assert their presence to other clan members. To become the Oyabun, the cyber-yakuza must be active in the field.

By undertaking outdoor street missions, the cyber-yakuza earns in-game currency (OYAB). The cyber-yakuza also has the opportunity to "racket other cyber yakuza" and win "rob boxes" containing sometimes valuable items that can give him an edge in battles against other players.

To validate a daily outdoor street mission session and earn rewards, the following requirements must be met <mark style="color:red;">**FOR EACH ENERGY SPENT:**</mark>

* The cyber-yakuza must have taken <mark style="color:red;">**at least 100 steps**</mark>

To maintain your cyber-yakuza's fighting spirit, you must participate in <mark style="color:red;">**at least one battle per day per cyber-yakuza**</mark>. Failure to do so will result in a walk energy penalty the following day.

Penalties will slow down the rate at which your walk energy refills.

## HOW DOES IT WORK?

The Badge System functions under a specific set of rules that shape the recruitment process. To recruit a cyber-yakuza of a specific rarity, you must meet two conditions:

1️ **Possession of the appropriate badge**

2️ **Availability of an open slot for that rarity in the ‘Open for Recruitment’ table.**

The core of the Badge System is the ‘Unlocking’ table. This table specifies the recruitment count required for each rarity tier to unlock the corresponding badge, thereby enabling recruitment for the succeeding rarity level. Please note that the figures in the ‘Unlocking’ table can change in the future.

**Possibility 3:** You receive an Epic cyber-yakuza. You add one to the Epic count in the ‘Recruitment Count’ table, but the Common and Rare slots stay open in the ‘Open for Recruitment’ table.

## 1. Token Instability in Web3 Gaming

Blockchain-based video games (*Web3 gaming*) have multiplied since 2021, often launching their own crypto tokens. These *play-to-earn* (P2E) and *move-to-earn* (M2E) tokens experienced intense boom-and-bust cycles.&#x20;

During hype phases, token prices surged, only to collapse just as brutally when enthusiasm waned. As a result, most gaming tokens show high volatility and a long-term downward trend.

### The Case of Move-to-Earn Tokens: STEPN as an Example

The M2E concept applies P2E mechanics to physical activity. The emblematic project **STEPN** gained explosive traction in early 2022, allowing users to earn tokens by walking or running after buying NFT sneakers. It operated with a dual-token model: **GST** (Green Satoshi Token) as an unlimited utility/reward token, and **GMT** as a limited-supply governance token. At its peak in April 2022, GST reached nearly **$9**, before plummeting below **$0.02** within a few months — a **99% loss**.

Multiple factors explain this crash. Early users earned extremely high returns — up to **$350/day** just by walking. This was only sustainable with a constant influx of new users buying NFTs and tokens. The economic model was based on **continuous inflation**, minting new GST to pay rewards, while hoping demand would absorb the selling pressure.&#x20;

This setup is typical of a **Ponzi-like structure**, where early users are paid from the investments of new ones. As soon as growth slowed, net GST creation outpaced demand, leading to a **death spiral**: users started cashing out, flooding the market, collapsing the price, and scaring off newcomers. This cycle killed both the token and the app's engagement.

STEPN was not alone. The 2022 M2E wave saw many similar projects — Step App, Walken, Genopets — most of which met the same fate:

* **Walken (WLKN)** launched at \~$0.09, now trades near **$0.0003** (–99.7%).

The issue isn't limited to fitness apps. P2E games also suffered from hyperinflation and speculative bubbles followed by collapse:

* **Illuvium (ILV)** peaked near $1,800 in 2021, fell below $10 in 2025 (–99.5%).

Analysts estimate over **90% of Web3 games announced since 2021 are now “clinically dead”**, with most of their tokens down 95% or more from ATH within 6 months.

* **Inflationary tokenomics**: Excessive token rewards flooded the market, driving down prices when user growth slowed.
* **Speculation/Ponzi dynamics**: User base became investors rather than players. When rewards shrank, users left, draining liquidity.
* **Lack of real economic model**: Most relied solely on NFT/token sales. Without external revenue, the system collapsed.
* **Crypto market cyclicality**: The 2021 bull market fueled the hype. After 2022's downturn, P2E tokens were hit hardest. Web3 gaming startup funding dropped 70% YoY by Q1 2025.

### In Summary

Launching individual tokens exposes Web3 projects to massive cyclicality, speculative bubbles, and potential collapse — threatening long-term viability. A more **sustainable token model** is now essential for Web3 economies.
